Distinctive and historic Hawaiian architecture
Visually, Palamanui will honor the local culture in distinctive Hawaii architecture that reflects the history of the Islands. Private homes and public buildings will take their cues from Hawaii’s endearing Plantation style, with wide-hipped roofs, deep-bracketed eaves and open lānai. Exposed rafter tails and architectural lighting will be characteristic of the custom craftsmanship. Palamanui will become a narrative of the island’s heritage, giving the impression of a traditional Hawaiian hill town that has evolved organically over time.
